*Cue Made in Chelsea theme song*
Strolling round Sloane Square and down King’s Road every weekend was one of my favourite leisurely pastimes with my bestie during Lockdown – grab a takeaway coffee and admire the fashion show catwalk that is King’s Road and the Chelsea residents. Nowadays I love to visit, have a delicious brunch and catch up with friends. A glass of bubbly? Optional. Avocado? A given.
Here’s a selection of my favourite brunches and coffees in one of the most magical areas of London. You can be sure to bump into everyone and anyone and have a delicious brunch, in true Made in Chelsea style.
JUICE BABY
Sweet refreshing smoothies and delicious Açaí bowls will make you dream of a Bali escape! My favourite is the “Pink Daddy” smoothie – Filled with strawberries and banana to create a sweet smoothie treat! Almond butter, dates and vanilla add that extra sweet twist!
ACAI GIRLS
Megan & Georgia have created what is quite possibly one of my top 5 London brunch outlets! Travelling from Bangok to Budapest, Bilbao to Bogota, the girls have accumulated memories and a wealth of knowledge to create wholesome, healthy dishes for those lucky enough to be in the delivery zones to enjoy! I can’t wait for them to open their new cafes this year – you can be sure to find me there as soon as they launch!
ROASTING PARTY
Located on the whimsical and magical Pavilion Road, The Roasting Party is the perfect place to have a coffee as you take a leisurely stroll down King’s Road and so some much needed shopping! The Roasting Party opened its doors in 2013, born out of 20 years of friendship! Founded by Kirby Sinclair, Wesley Cusick and Ed Cutcliffe. Ed founded The Little Marionette, where Kirby and Wesley perfected their coffee skills. When I visited on a sunny weekend, the barista was super friendly and chatty – knew his coffee beans, knew the notes of various blends …. and will put a smile on your face!
VARDO
Why Vardo? Vardo is the brainchild behind the creators of @caravanrestaurants @caravanroastery Caravan Coffee and ‘Vardo’ is the British Romani travelling wagon. The 3 New Zealand owners wished to create a new restaurant which still has nomadic roots, just like Caravan!
RAW PRESS
Raw Press’ Flower Power Açai Bowl is divine! A base of açai and banana create an icy yet velvety bowl & combined with strawberry & raspberries, it’s a berry bomb rich in antioxidants! Bright, pink and oh so delicious!
CAFE KITSUNE
The Pantechnicon was built in 1830, a home to an arts and crafts bazaar. Now, newly opened, it combines Parisienne, Japanese and Nordic influences to create a zen hub in Belgravia!
RUDE HEALTH
The best part about Rude Health Cafe? You can choose from a MULTITUDE of aMaZinG Milks! As well as the yummy Almond, creamy Oat, and safe Soy, Rude Health also have a sweet Hazelnut, tasty Turmeric, creamiest Cashew and velvety Brown Rice! Craving a new alternative milk with your coffee – there is no better place to experiment than the Rude Health Cafe!
HAGEN PROJECT
Hagen brings Danish hygge to King’s Road in the form of premium speciality coffee and delicious brunch options!
As always, let me know your favourite Chelsea spots & I’ll add them to my ever growing foodie bucket list.
Lots of love, Jo xoxo
