A-sigh of relief! Searching for an açai bowl in London this spring/ summer, to cool you down? No fear! I’ve got you sorted. From super sweet bowls (think: EL&N, Brunch or Açai Berry), to ice-cold refreshing thirst quenchers (read: Juice Baby, Raw Press or The Açai Girls), there’s an açai bowl for every occasion.
As always, let me know your favourite açai bowls and where I should try next!
Lots of love, Jo xoxo
THE AÇAI GIRLS

Megan & Georgia have created what is quite possibly one of my top 5 London brunch outlets! Travelling from Bangok to Budapest, Bilbao to Bogota, the girls have accumulated memories and a wealth of knowledge to create wholesome, healthy dishes for those lucky enough to be in the delivery zones to enjoy! The thought, love and passion in every dish is apparent – presented carefully (even when travelling by delivery!)
I love their signature Açai Bowls! Slices of thinly cut banana, a sprinkle of coco nibs, a dash of chia seeds, crunchy coconut chips & gorgeous goji berries… it’s a SUPERFOOD paradise! Heaven on Earth. Cannot travel to Bali? No fear – the Açai Girls are here to bring the cuisine to your doorstep.
JUICE BABY

Their creamy acai bowls make for a delicious treat; I like mine topped with slices of kiwi, a handful of frozen raspberries, chia seeds and a scoop of almond butter.
Another one of my go-to Juice Baby orders is the decadent Cacao Açai! A base of wild acai berry creates a cooling treat, which is just the right level of sweetness for Goldilocks! Many acai bowls nowadays are far too sugary and sweet, but Juice Baby’s is just the right balance. It’s naturally sweetened with banana and dates, to provide a light and natural sugar boost. Banana slices delicately top the bowl, and the blueberries add a burst of colour! Coconut flakes will add fibre to your diet and add a further crunch! The crunchy granola creates the perfect c-r-u-n-c-h and the cinnamon adds a wintery, Christmas taste to your lips! Heaven!

Founder Rachel is super bubbly, smiley and full of joy and always up for a lovely chat. She takes the time to explain the ingredients in her vegan treats and you really can feel the love and passion she has for her beautiful pink, zen vegan oasis and the love and care she puts into each raw treat. Pink flowers, pink cups and pink decor make this cute cafe a MUST on your vegan London bucket list. You can be sure that when you go, you’ll leave with yummy food, a positive chat AND a smile on your face.
The refreshing mauve açai is topped with crunchy raw granola- this homemade raw activated buckwheat granola really packs a punch! Crispy coconut chips are sprinkled on top, to add a signature coconut twist! The dried mulberries are DIVINE – they add a naturally sweet twist to this cooling bowl *and* are a rich source of vitamin C! The generous serving of thick delicious almond butter gives the bowl a creamy, velvety texture and will send your tastebuds into overdrive! Signature pink flowers top this sweet treat- adding joy to your day.
GLOW BAR

If you’re looking for a cooling, refreshing and slightly sweet pitaya bowl, then you have come to the right place. Glow Bar’s creations are probably the closest you’ll get to the true tropical bowl experience without visiting Brazil. If you’re looking for a slightly less sweet (but still cooling) treat, the brekkie bowl is a must- a refreshing coconut yoghurt and seasonal compote bowl! They also serve warm, soothing Moon Milks- a great mood booster.

This scrumptious smoothie bowl is a filling all day brekkie option. Berries are combined with coconut yoghurt to create a refreshing bowl of berry joy. Granola is sprinkled on top, providing the perfect crunch to accompany the smooth and velvety raspberry coconut yoghurt. Strawberry slices and a couple of raspberries are sprinkled on top, adding even more pink, whilst the blackberries and blueberries provide a visual contrast!
LOCALS CAFE

My favourite dish on the Locals Cafe menu is their yummy acai smoothie bowl. A traditional, sweet blend, topped with gluten free granola, a grapefruit slice, slices of clementine and a scoop of coconut yoghurt. A sprinkling of chia seeds and an assortment of vibrant flowers top off this sweet delight.
EL&N
EL&N’s menu is not only “instagrammable”, but the food is DELICIOUS. Pictured is their açai bowl- which is the perfect brekkie option. A sweet açai base is topped with crunchy, homemade granola & a sliced banana elegantly sits on top of the sweet oasis. Blackberries mark the centre of the dish, whilst sliced passionfruit, almonds and summer flowers add a summer twist to this breakfast option! It’s a burst of heavenly fruity flavour. Y.U.M.M.Y!

Their delicate Açai bowl is a winner- filled with caramelised banana, and the toppings are a true work of art. Berries, mint, roasted sunflower seeds and coconut create an intricate layer, which is pleasing to the eye. The physalis adds a boost of vibrant colour & is an amazing source of vitamin C!

If you’re feeling super hungry, but craving a healthy açai bowl, then Dalloway’s the place to go. Whilst most açai bowls are just a tad *too* sweet & a little on the small side, Dalloway create bowls of the perfect size and just the right level of sweetness. Yay! Their ‘Rainbow Acai Bowl’ is topped with seasonal berries, thinly cut banana slices and assorted nuts. It’s also vegan and gluten free friendly.

Craving something sweet? But want still want to be healthy? Nac’s açai bowl should be your refreshing & cooling brunch option of choice. It’s the perfect brunch for a summer’s day.
FEYA

Each dish is an artistic creation & the care, precision and attention to detail of each element certainly shines through. This light and fluffy smoothie bowl creates a pink and blue twist to the traditional yin-yang and is topped with 3D flower-shaped dragon fruit and mango pieces and edible flowers. It will leave you feeling healthy and refreshed. Ok, ok, strictly this is a smoothie bowl, not an acai bowl – but it’s so refreshing and aesthetic that I *had* to add it to the list.
WHOLEFOODS
Craving a sweet treat during the summer months? Wanting a healthier alternative to ice-cream? Well, no fear! WholeFoods açai bowls are the perfect cooling bowl of fruity goodness. The icy cold Brazilian açai base is topped with granola, a handful of blueberries, slices of banana and a few chopped strawberries… & you’re on to a winner.
