Anyone who has met me will know that I l-o-v-e skyscrapers, rooftop restaurants and views, tall glass buildings, bright sparkling lights, and luxury. Dubai was on my bucket list for years, and when I visited I was o-v-e-r t-h-e m-o-o-n!

Of course, as well as enjoying the beautiful hotels, basking in the sun, and exploring the foodie scene, we also visited the souks, went dune bashing, rode camels (ft. the sunglasses story 🤣), dined in the middle of the desert, got some henna and tried the local cuisine…. And yet I still have a mile-long bucket list of things I *need* to do. *ahem* Aura Skypool *ahem* I’m looking at you. The world’s highest 360* infinity pool which offers breathtaking views of the Dubai skyline, Aura Skypool is 2022’s place to be seen.

Today’s post features a few of my foodie favourites from the Dubai trip. Scroll down for my never-ending Dubai foodie bucket list, and let me know your recommendations. I will for sure be back again, but for now Du-Bye! Lots of love, Jo xoxo

BUDDHA BAR

Buddha bar it the epitome of luxury; opulence at its finest.

A gorgeous, gigantic bay window takes centre stage at the restaurant, running the width of the restaurant, left to right, and floor to ceiling. It provides a beautiful vantage point with mesmerising views of the Dubai Marina. Dine in grandeur, and watch the world quite literally float by in the form of boats drifting on the water the width of the long glass wall.

Colossal burgundy curtains add to the seduction of the restaurant, whilst the bright red embellished chandeliers add further luxury. The gigantic, iconic Buddha is an attraction itself, watching diners, and adds to the blinding ambiance.

THE MEAT CO

A steak lover’s paradise… serving the finest meat dishes from Mayura Station Signature Wagyu to the prime 1kg Tomahawk steak, meat lovers will rejoice at the sight of the menu, let alone the dishes themselves. Complement with a glass of red from their extensive wine list and you’re in for a winning dinner.

A vibrant restaurant located right next door to the Palace Downtown, the dining table views make for excellent entertainment – watch the Burj Khalifa light up and the Dubai fountains dance the night away as you devour your delicious dinner. But, what makes The Meat Co unique, compared to the countless other dining spots with the same view? Electric entertainment engulfs the bar -traditional African music vibrates through the restaurant, as the lively band dance away to percussion instruments of every variety. Their striking, theatrical decor reflects their South African heritage and their in house traditional entertainment provides for a lively, unforgettable experience!

SUSHISAMBA

Located on the 51st floor of the St. Regis Hotel, Sushisamba offers sushi with -a- The view. I have visited the London branch and the Dubai branch is high on my list for next time.

DUBAI DINNER DATES BUCKET LIST

ATMOSPHERE BURJ KHALIFA

*Chandler voice* Can you *get* any higher restaurant views in Dubai? Level 122. Burj Khalifa. It doesn’t get higher than this. Dine in the clouds and enjoy sensational views of the Arabian Gulf whilst devouring the mouthwatering seafood towers, featuring poached prawns, scallop ceviche, oysters, tiger prawns and geoduck sashimi…. You may be 442m high in the sky, but you can still experience the Arabian waters!

AMAZONICO

A tropical, immersive restaurant spread across 3 floors, Amazonico brings the Amazon’s rich gastronomical heritage to Dubai’s DIFC. Visit The Bar for signature cocktails and “electro-pical” tunes from the residents DJs- dance the night away in style!

COYA

Tribal beats and vibrant Latin American dishes, Coya is not only a restaurant, it is a truly sensory experience.

CIPRIANI

In contrast to most of the restaurants in this guide, Ciprani has more of an elegant, nautical theme. Burnt orange seating contrasts against the bright white tableware and deep blue finishing touches.

CLAP

Everyone who knew my Canary Wharf dinner choices knew that I was o-b-s-e-s-s-e-d with the Miso Aubergine salad for dinner. Every. Day. I’ve heard Clap has exceptional miso aubergine, which I will be ordering when I visit

PIATTI BY THE BEACH

Truffle spaghetti and beetroot salad, this spot will have you thinking you’re on the Amalfi coastÂ
