Being a Vogue Beauty Insider has been a privilege, and an exciting journey so far. As a member, you create a beauty profile and receive personalised and handpicked products by the editors to trial and review. When I heard of the launch of this close-knit community, back in July 2020, I was ecstatic and *had* to apply. Since becoming an insider, I have had the opportunity to trial a variety of products, including new product launches, and it has helped me to refine my own skincare collection.

VOGUE BEAUTY WEEK
Vogue’s Beauty and Lifestyle Director Jessica Diner and her team also organise Vogue’s annual Beauty Insiders week, this year taking place Sunday 03 April to Thursday 07 April 2022. For the last couple of years I have attended the virtual event, but this year there is a virtual-in-person hybrid! I am super excited to attend the Dr Barbara Sturm event tomorrow in person!
I love Dr Barbara’s ethos of “avoiding inflammation at all costs”. I can for sure put my hands up and say that I have fallen into other brands’ marketing and decided to pile on various skincare products which I did not need, and, low and behold, my skin flared up for a while. However, since using Dr Sturm’s calming products for a few months, my skin has loved it, and the glow is real!
The virtual streaming of the event is a lovely way to ensure greater accessibility of the event for those who cannot travel to the event in person or afford the full cost of an in person ticket.

⭐️4/5 – Created with the powerful red camellia flower, this cream targets the 1st stage of skin ageing.
🌼 Red Camellia protects against the oxidation caused by urban pollution, helping to slow the ageing process. Repeated use of the product helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, refines pores and restores skin elasticity.
🌺Many companies name their creams yet only have a small % of the “magical ingredient” in the product. However, this is not the case with Chanel. This magical cream contains 70% camellia-derived ingredients; meaning that you can be assured that the cream truly is potent.
💖 4/5 – Applying the cream was a pleasant experience – the cream is very thick and velvety and easily spreads and moisturises a large area. This means that you do not unnecessarily apply a large amount of cream. Usually, with thinner, more silky moisturisers, there is a tendency to apply too much, meaning you end up “hitting pan” too quickly (& unnecessarily!).
💖 The serum is more gel like, thinner and silkier
🌸 My skin was left supple and smooth straight after application! This is likely due to the Camellia water.

🦄 The Chanel No1 range also has a soft and buttery revitalising lip balm which promises to soften lips – this is on my wishlist!
👸🏼 Apply a small amount to the face and neck in the am and pm, and then dab in with your fingertips. To prevent the creation of excess wrinkles, the direction of dabbing and smoothing is important! Smooth from the jawline to the ears, and from the side of nose to the ears. Use the serum and then the cream, for best results!

👸🏼 Whilst most striking and bold lipsticks can be drying, Christian Loubatin’s lipstick is hydrating and glowy, without being too slippery! Also, usually, glowy lipsticks can be too glossy and translucent… but not this one! It’s bold, opaque and striking! The lipstick doesn’t melt into creases, meaning, your colour will be maintained, and stay fresh! Hydrating *and* bold… yes please!

⭐️ 3.5/5 – Shea butter is combined with vitamins B, C & E, creating a soft cream to hydrate and soften skin! It’s a great base, making foundation more easily glide on top! It’s best used for normal to oily skin types- if you have drier skin, then I’d recommend the hydrating face cream!
💖 4/5 – A light, grapefruit scent creates a summery feel to this plumping moisturiser! As well as a foundation base, I’d recommend to apply this cream at night too – this will give your skin a nourishing overnight vitamin boost & ensures maximum benefit – say hello to nourished, glowing skin!
