Jo is an Investment Banker, previously specialising in Consumer Technology, and now taking a broader reach across the technology space. She holds a 1st Class Degree in Economics and Land Economy from Trinity College at the University of Cambridge.
Fashion
Jo has a long-standing interest in luxury fashion. Whilst at University, she co-founded the Cambridge University Fashion & Luxury Business Society, working with the Executive Committee to organise events to bring senior European management from Louis Vuitton, Dior and Chanel to the University. She also participated in the Women@Dior programme 2019-2021, working on projects to help increase female empowerment and was invited to events in both London and Paris.
As can be seen through her blog, she has a deep desire to understand the history behind luxury fashion, seeking to uncover the meaning and sources of inspiration of notable designer pieces.
It is this unique combination of constant intellectual curiosity, along with her bubbly pink personality, which captivates audiences.
She founded the philanthropic wellness brand, Matcha Pilattes, which strives to help tackle youth homelessness and reduce the endemic loneliness crisis. Through limited collection drops, customers are invited to meet ups, to meet likeminded friends, and help foster meaningful connections in cities where it can be hard to make genuine connections.
Food
As well as fashion, Jo loves discovering unique artisan coffee spots in London, Cambridge and beyond. Her travel posts highlight her favourite food spots in the cities she visits. Her food blogging days are documented on @avocadjojo, where her iconic nails and hand shots gained her many coffee lover followers.
Female Empowerment
Jo is an active voice for female education and in the workplace, striving to empower girls and women of all ages to find their voice and build the life of their dreams. CV and internship tips can be found in her ebooks!
