Workwear Inspo: Odd Muse

Finding a well structured, fashionable, and high quality blazer for work is a mission. Today’s post shines the spotlight on OddMuse, an early stage Investment Fashion company, founded by Aimee in September 2020. Less than 1 month into her company, and fashion icon Lorna Luxe featured Odd Muse’s blazer on her instagram, and less than 3 months later, Vogue featured the iconic brand in the December 2020 edition magazine.

Having achieved so much at such an early stage in the brand’s history, the sky really is the limit for Aimee and I can’t wait to see what other creative yet timeless pieces are in store.

THE ULTIMATE MUSE BLAZER

OddMuse’s iconic Ultimate Muse Blazer is as stylish as a corporate blazer gets. The core, beating heart of the brand, the blazer is a fashion statement, yet timeless and a wardrobe staple. Odd Muse’s ethos is slow fashion and brand mission is to create classic pieces designed to be reworn over and over. Indeed, the Ultimate Muse Blazer ticks the boxes.

Padded shoulders and sharp lapels ensure a structured look. The large thick belt and additional thinner belt acts as a fashionable point of focus and accentuates the waist to give a greater illusion of an hourglass silhouette. The pointed sleeves add a further stylish statement to this signature look.

This coveted piece is available in a classic black – my corporate colour of choice. There are also 4 additional colours, depending on the dress code at your work.

THE VIRAL PEARL DRESS

(Find it here)

It’s viral for a reason. Once I saw Aimee’s little black dress with pearl detailing on my insta feed (here) , I knew that (1) it’s a staple that I’d rewear time and time again and so (2) that I *had* to have it.

Although it’s a short black dress, with a nice plunging neckline, the shape and long sleeves mean that there is a good balance of modesty. The pearls add a nice evening touch. This means that it’s great for corporate dinners!

I’d love to see this dress in red – I think it would be a great piece to be worn for multiple festive meals with clients, work and family functions. It’s also a good Valentine’s option. You really would get the cost per wear.

Lots of love, Jo xoxo
